French painter Robert Savary studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and was honoured with the prestigious Prix de Rome in 1950. He exhibited his work in numerous prestigious salons, including the Salon de Mai, Salon des Tuileries, Salon des Independants, Salon des Artistes Francais, Salon d'Automne, and the Salon de la Societe Nationale des Beaux Arts.  He also participated in the Second Biennale in Sao Paolo, and his work was shown at the Galerie Drouant-David and Galerie Charpentier in Paris in 1955.
