Born in Basel in 1909, Donald Brun was a Swiss artist and illustrator who from the1930s onwards, shaped the history of Swiss graphic design. Along with Fritz Bühler, Donald Brun was one of the co-founders of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) in 1952.
Donald Brun’s work has been offered at auction multiple times, the record price being 9,906 USD for The Start of the Derby sold at Sotheby’s New York in 2005.
