Oskar Laske was an Austrian painter, etcher and lithographer. Trained as an architect, he designed many houses around Vienna as well as glasses and tapestries. He was an important and original member of the Viennese art scene in the first half of the 20th century.

Laske’s work has been offered at auction multiple times, the record price being 198,048 USD for Jahrmarkt des Lebens sold at Dorotheum, Vienna in 2019.
