Stockbroker turned artist, Raulet stumbled into painting when she least expected it. After attending a weekend watercolour course in her early 40s, she (and her tutors) recognised her abundant talent
and she swapped a high-powered financial career for that of an artist. Since, using her own mysterious combination of oil, wax and acrylic, she has become a highly-distinctive and collectible painter. Her gracious depictions of animals, invariably simply rendered against a black background, lend her creatures a touching stardom.
