To say that fine art photographer MCF is private is to say that JD Salinger was over-exposed. She (commentators seem at least to be confident about her gender) protects her anonymity with a degree of obsession only matched by that she invests in her work. Even her signature is contrived to give the graphologist nothing to work with.
Her many frustrated acolytes are bound, however, to forgive her; for her work, infrequent as it is, is exquisite. And we are profoundly thrilled that she has chosen to exclusively unveil the first images of her new collection, given the working title of The Aesthetic of Englishry, at this exhibition.
