Rolland Harve Golden (1931 – 2019) was an American visual artist known mainly for his realism, abstract realism and “Borderline-Surrealisterm”, a term he used to describe a style of his where the subject is “not entirely impossible, but highly unlikely.”
His work is held in many museum collections including: Pushkin Museum, Moscow, Russia; Bon Encontre Cultural Center, France; New Orleans Museum of Art, Ogden Museum of Southern Art and the Historic New Orleans Collection, New Orleans, LA; Mississippi Museum of Art, Jackson, MS; The National Arts Club, New York, NY; Springfield Art Museum, Springfield, MO; Morris Museum of Fine Art, Augusta, GA; Lauren Rogers Museum of Art, Laurel, MS; Alexandria Museum of Art, Alexandria, LA; and others.
He died on 1 July 2019.
