Perhaps not as frequently as with sportsmen or performers but the same ingredients differently dispersed have still produced siblings who share prodigious artistic talent. The Bellinis, Bonheurs, Brueghels, Duchamps, Giacomettis, Halses, Johns, Nashes and Pissaros spring to mind. A new name is highly likely in future years to be added to this list: that of Husselby; namely eighteen year-old Hector and sixteen year-old Louis Husselby – young artists of real philosophical independence and erudition, already described by a leading critic as “genuine potential torchbearers of the 20th century British painting tradition.” It is doubtful that original works by either of them will be offered at a comparable price again.
