Bulgarian-born Nikolay Diulgheroff was an artist, designer, architect and a prominent figure in interwar Italian Futurism. He studied at the Bauhaus before moving to Turin in 1926 where he spent the next 56 years. Throughout the 20s and 30s, he was the only artist represented at each of the leading Futurist exhibitions in Leipzig, Paris, Florence, Barcelona, Mantua, Venice and Turin. He was made an honorary citizen of Turin and art historian Enrico Crispolti considers him the greatest artist of the interwar period.

Diulgheroff’s work has been offered at auction multiple times, the record price being 31,034 USD for Paesaggio Marino Ca sold at Dorotheum in 2018.
