“Have them make an ark of acacia wood – two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high. Overlay it with pure gold.” God commands Moses to build the Ark of the Covenant (Exodus 25:10-11).
The Ark comprises 30 Chrysina Resplendens (the golden scarab beetle), one of the world’s most sought-after beetles, found in Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador and other countries in Central America. It is the only creature on the planet to exactly mimic the appearance of gold itself.
