A Danish painter, Fischer was a regular and committed participant in the annual exhibitions at Charlottenborg, The Danish Royal Academy. Although a painter of landscapes, street scenes, flowers and still lives, he was primarily known for his representations of young women in half or full figure in interior settings.

Carl Fischer’s work has been offered at auction multiple times, the record price for this artist at auction is 6,186 USD for Composition with Model on Bed sold at Bruun Rasmussen in 2018.
