A friend of the founder of the futurist movement Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, whose poetry magazine he illustrated, Enrico Sacchetti was one of the most famous advertising illustrators of the 1920s and 1930s as well as a cornerstone of many magazines such as Numero, La Lettura and Il Giornale della Domenica.
Sacchetti’s work has been offered at auction multiple times, the record price being 9,707 USD for Figura sold at Farsetti Arte in 2012.
