Line Busch’s abstract paintings play with perception, participation and optical illusion, as they change in appearance based on the viewer’s angle. Interested in visual metamorphosis and trickery, Busch uses gradient colours, parallel curves, and slashes to attain three-dimensionality on flat canvases. The painting requires interaction to fully experience it, as the various angles play into the deception of the painting’s kineticism as the symmetrically painted vertical lines appear to twist. The Danish artist studied at the Aarhus Art Academy.
