The internationally renowned American artist Donald Sultan rose to prominence in the 1970s as part of the New Image Movement in New York City. He is best known for his still-life imagery, deconstructing and transforming organic elements such as flowers and fruits through his use of geometric form and minimalism. The works hover between nature and artificiality, abstraction and representation.
Sultan is included in major museum collections such as the Tate Gallery, London, the Whitney Museum of American Art, NYC, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Singapore Museum of Art, Singapore.
